SMRP Establishes New Northern Ohio SMRP Chapter

CLEVELAND, OHIO – October 3, 2008 - The Society for Maintenance & Reliability Professionals (SMRP) has established a new regional chapter in Northern Ohio. This is the third SMRP chapter in Ohio and the first in Northern Ohio. With nearly 40 SMRP members signing a petition to create a new regional chapter, SMRP granted official chapter status in September to the new Northern Ohio SMRP chapter.

The Northern Ohio SMRP chapter will provide locally-based education, career development and networking opportunities for maintenance and reliability professions. The chapter is holding a membership drive during the SMRP annual conference October 20-23 in Cleveland.

"SMRP gives actual practitioners the ability to gather and share real information and best practices. This new chapter will bring together many different vendors and companies employing predictive maintenance technologies. The result will be a stronger, more informed marketplace," said Don Frankel, chapter chair, and president and CEO, Predictive Service.

The Northern Ohio SMRP chapter elected officers at its first official meeting. Officers include:

• Donald Frankel - Chair (Predictive Service)
• Ted Melencheck - Vice Chair (Cargill Deicing Technologies)
• Michael Barrett - Treasurer (Insight Services)
• Gary Helm - Secretary (Goodyear Corp)
