ViewPoint®: infrared inspection

To achieve the highest level of accuracy and consistency in the infrared industry, Predictive Service created a patented process we call Tmax Corrected. This patented formulation is created from actual equipment manufacturers' operational heat curves. Equipment manufacturer are required to submit to UL testing laboratories maximum operational heat curves for their equipment at various load and operating conditions. By combining a manufacturer's heat curve information with other field data gathered during the infrared inspection process such as ambient temperature and load, Predictive Service can accurately and consistently analyze the equipment being inspected through our infrared inspections. Tmax Corrected allows Predictive Service to forecast what a problem's severity would be under various load and operating conditions. This process virtually eliminates the need for finding a Reference Temperature of a suspected flawed product or issue.

In addition to Tmax, ViewPoint's infrared module benchmarks and tracks year over year statistics for each piece of equipment inspected. Within this information, you can monitor individual component status, repair activities, amp or load conditions and review both visual and infrared documentation of each component surveyed. Additionally, Predictive Service identifies and documents NEC and OSHA issues as they relate to the specific component and its infrared inspection.

Like all of ViewPoint's modules, customizable parameters allow for accurate and usable Energy Savings calculations and overall Return on Investment (ROI) documentation. The entire infrared inspection evaluation and documentation process is complete and made available to our clients within five business days.
